Backed by a 20 year warranty, the DockGrip is 20lbs of hand-welded aluminum that’s professionally powder-coated to withstand the demanding conditions of shoreline weather. Its sleek contour is rounded to minimize interference with dock traffic and maximize stability when entering or exiting watercraft.

It mounts to docks of any surface through six heavy steel screws (included), yet can also be installed on practically any surface with customized mounting hardware.

Please note: the DockGrip is designed for people, not boats, and is not rated for anchoring watercraft to docks.

Accessibility, Convenience, Safety

The DockGrip was invented by Walter Yahn of Erie, Pennsylvania to help his wife and (and grandmother of thirteen!) enter his boat at Lake Erie marinas. On windy days, traversing from the dock to a rocking boat can be difficult and dangerous, leading to serious injuries should one slip and fall.

Beyond aiding accessibility for seniors and children, the DockGrip is especially useful for watercraft closer to the surface: canoes, kayaks and inflatable dinghies - allowing your marina to make it easier for people to enjoy the water.

Once installed to a dock surface, the DockGrip creates a sturdy platform for a secure grip - making it easier to carry bulky/heavy objects to and from boats.

The DockGrip can be installed on effectively any surface through six heavy steel screws (included), yet can also be installed through customized mounting hardware for special applications.

Please note: the DockGrip is designed for people, not boats, and is not rated for anchoring watercraft to docks.
